Simply Family Matthew Clifton-Brown
We can see family gatherings as something to be put up with, or a great opportunity to bring grace to people that you're connected to.
God's timing is perfect so this Christmas could be a moment He has arranged to use you in blessing someone in your family (and for you to be blessed). If you're a Christian, you have the Spirit of God in you - we are carrying the presence of God with us everywhere - so we should expect things to happen around us (2 Corinthians 2:15).
Questions:
- What are the opportunities in your family for you to give grace?
- How should be thinking and praying for Christmas given the great promise of 2 Corinthians 2:15?
- Praying for family issues can take decades (as Zechariah and Elizabeth praying for a child must have been) - what are you needing fresh perseverance for?
